EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Water is partnering with local agencies to remind the public to “turn around, don’t drown” when faced with the dangers of flash flooding.

El Paso Water also encourages residents who live in flood zones to prepare sandbags. Residents who need sandbags can obtain them at select El Paso Water facilities.

Sandbags are limited to 10 per visit and residents will need to present a Texas ID or El Paso water bill.

The following locations will be sandbag distribution centers:

  • Stormwater Operations Center
    • 4801 Fred Wilson Avenue,
    • Monday – Friday, 8am – 8pm | Saturday & Sunday, 2pm – 8pm
  • Artcraft Supercharger Station

  • Blackie Chesher Park
