Meet Sam M., the ‘Bachelorette’ star, biker, and dog lover who just picked up Jenn’s first impression rose

Jenn Tran’s season of “The Bachelorette” is just beginning, and she’s already developing connections with the men vying for her heart.

Sam McKinney, one of the 25 contestants on season 21, quickly hit it off with Jenn after getting out of the limo. At the end of the night, Jenn gave him the first impression rose.

Sam M. is a general contractor from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Sam, 27, is one of five children in his family. He attended Socastee High School, where he was a member of the football, baseball and wrestling teams. After graduation, he attended Wofford College.

According to his bio on ABC’s website, outside of his current work as an entrepreneur, Sam enjoys “riding motorcycles, playing golf, and watching ‘Sons of Anarchy.'” According to his Instagram profile, he also appears to be a dog lover.

Before “The Bachelorette,” Sam had been single for almost a year.

In the season premiere, he explained that his fiancée, whom he had known since middle school, had cheated on him and that there was “no way to fix that relationship.”

“It was definitely the greatest heartbreak I’ve ever experienced,” he said.

Despite this, Sam is still determined to achieve his dream of being a husband and father.

Jenn gave Sam her first impression rose after feeling an ‘undeniable connection’

Sam doesn’t have a fancy limousine entrance, but Jenn is immediately taken with his looks and “Southern charm.”

During their one-on-one conversation, the first of the night, Jenn and Sam bond over their similar approaches to dating; they both value being intentional and vulnerable in relationships.

“Sam M. makes me horny,” Jenn says. “There’s an undeniable connection and I don’t know what it is. I look at how hot he is and I really want to kiss him, but I don’t feel good in the moment.”

After talking with the other men, Jenn decides to give her first rose to Sam, who she says she hasn’t stopped thinking about all night. They share a passionate kiss, which makes Jenn even more confident in her choice to give him the rose.

“I feel like I’m floating on a little cloud,” she says. “That kiss is wild. It was really, really good. I feel like I made the right decision by waiting, because it was the kiss that had been prepared all night. It was definitely worth the wait.”
