Mayor of town where Alice Munro lived shocked after sexual abuse revelations

Jim Ginn, mayor of Central Huron, the municipality where Alice Munro lived much of her adult life, said he was shocked by the revelations that have emerged about Munro’s second husband, Gerald Fremlin. Andrea Robin Skinner, Munro’s daughter by her first husband, wrote in an essay in the Toronto Star that Fremlin sexually assaulted her in the mid-1970s when she was nine years old and continued to harass and abuse her until she was a teenager.
