Home Secretary considers toughening crossbow laws after Bushey murders

Yvette Cooper will “decide in the near future” on whether or not there should be stricter laws on crossbows following the murders of three women in Hertfordshire on Wednesday (July 10).

Security Minister Dan Jarvis told Sky News today: “I know the Home Secretary is looking at this as we speak. There was a call for evidence that went out a few months ago. She will want to look at that evidence in its entirety.”

“She will want to look clearly, very carefully, at what happened yesterday – devastating events – and she will take a position in the near future.”
