Jon Richardson says ‘lots of love in the room’ as he reunites with Lucy Beaumont for special performance

Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have reunited after their split for a special fundraising performance.

The pair appeared at the second Jon and Lucy + Friends comedy night to raise £100,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity in support of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust on May 15 at Sheffield City Hall. Thousands of people turned out to attend the event, which saw Jon and Lucy reunite.

Jon and Lucy recently announced their divorce after nine years of marriage, with the couple saying the decision to separate was made “jointly and amicably”.

At the recent comedy night, which was free, the duo appeared alongside comedians Maisie Adam, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Russell Kane and Alan Carr.

Jon said: “It was amazing to come back this year and raise even more money for Sheffield Children’s. The atmosphere was just electric.

“There was so much love in the room for The Children’s Hospital Charity because people know how much the work they do means to children and their families.”

All funds raised from the event will go towards supporting children’s mental health care in Sheffield and beyond. Jon and Lucy also worked with fellow patrons Dan Walker and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill to help raise the funds.

John Armstrong, CEO of The Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “It means a lot to the team at the charity to see so many Sheffield Children’s supporters gathered in one room. We also know that the staff, patients and families contributed to an unforgettable evening.

“We are so grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, Jon, Lucy and their fellow actors for making this night possible. The vital funds raised for Sheffield Children’s will help change children’s lives.”
