The special Ibiza-inspired ‘Eivissa’ models of the Land Rover Defender are limited to 6 examples

If exclusivity and partying in Ibiza are your thing, you’ll probably love the new Defender Eivissa limited editions, available in Sunrise and Noontide configurations.

Land Rover has announced the Defender Eivissa Limited Edition, inspired by the Mediterranean island of Ibiza in Spain. The SUV is offered in Sunrise and Noontide configurations, with vibrant colours, special badges and a total production run of just six units (three each).

Eivissa is the Catalan name for the city of Ibiza, a tourist attraction located near the east coast of Spain. The island, known for its “vibrant nightlife and deep connection with nature,” is currently hosting the Destination Defender Ibiza event, which is the only place where Land Rover fans can order Eivissa specialties.

The limited edition Defender 110 Eivissa Sunrise and Defender 90 Noontide represent the island’s colours at different times of the day. The Sunrise combines a yellow hue with glossy black accents, referencing the “magical yellow of sunrise”, visible after a busy night. Its alter ego, the Noontide, is painted in a light blue hue with white accents. This combination is similar to the blue of the Mediterranean sky and sea, in contrast to the island’s white houses.

Land Rover hasn’t mentioned any specifics of the limited editions, other than the livery and the Eivissa emblems. We also don’t know the engine and trim level of each Defender, although their equipment seems quite generous.

According to the company, the six SUVs were created as a tribute to the island’s rich history and cultural significance. The number six is ​​linked to Ibiza’s ancient history. The island’s original name was “Iboshim”, given by the Phoenicians in honor of Bess, a goddess associated with protection, fertility and domestic well-being, and also linked to the number six.

Destination Defender Ibiza kicked off on 13th September and will end on 29th September. The event features a number of activities for Land Rover enthusiasts including on- and off-road drives to local attractions, hiking, coasteering, yoga and wellness, pool sessions, opening and closing parties, and various culinary experiences featuring local cuisine.

Land Rover will be exhibiting two examples of the Eivissa Limited Edition at the event, alongside the V8-powered Defender OCTA.
