Supreme Court Hearing NEET 2024 LIVE: Supreme Court to hear petitions on NEET UG paper leak, exam cancellation, etc. today, July 11, 2024

NEET 2024 Supreme Court Hearing LIVE:The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on the NEET UG issue. The next hearing will be held on July 18, 2024. In the previous hearing on July 8, the Supreme Court asked the Centre and the NTA to make full disclosure on three aspects: when the question papers were leaked, how the question papers were leaked/disseminated and the time elapsed between the leak and the actual conduct of the exam.

Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, also part of the bench, asked the CBI to file a status report indicating the status of investigations and material collected during the investigations.

On May 5, the NEET exam was held and the results were announced on June 4. Soon after the results were released, a controversy broke out over too many candidates scoring 720 out of 720. The NTA clarified that over 1,500 students were given grace marks due to wastage of time and revision of physics questions. A re-examination was held on June 23 and the results were announced on June 30. Many petitions were filed and heard by the court.

In the previous hearing, the Supreme Court asked the NTA to disclose the entire leaked NEET papers. The Supreme Court will hear the petitions that have been filed so far and will consider the affidavit submitted by the NTA and the Centre.
