Travis Kelce refuses to meet Harry and Meghan after hitting it off with Prince William

Travis Kelce could have attended the ESPY Awards and come face-to-face with Prince Harry just weeks after meeting Prince William — but the NFL superstar wasn’t there

Travis Kelce apparently passed up the chance to meet Prince Harry by opting not to attend the ESPY Awards. It’s been reported that Kelce was invited to the prestigious event, where the Kansas City Chiefs were nominated for the Best Team award.

But he wasn’t listed on ESPN’s guest list before the show, and he actually decided not to attend. His teammate Patrick Mahomes also chose not to attend, despite being named the best athlete in men’s sports.

Head coach Andy Reid accepted his award while Mahomes’ mother, Randi, and sister, Mia Randall, were in attendance on his behalf. They also got a chance to rub shoulders with royalty, posing for a photo with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

However, Kelce’s decision not to attend the event at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles meant he was unable to meet Prince Harry, just weeks after he met his older brother, Prince William. Kelce hit it off with William while they both attended his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s concert in London.
