Silent Observer unveils new ‘most wanted’ trailer to help encourage tips from the public

(WPBN/WGTU) — The Silent Observer of Wexford, Missaukee and Osceola counties is teaming up with law enforcement to help make communities safer.

On Thursday at the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office, a new portable “most wanted” trailer was unveiled.

The trailer will be parked at set locations chosen by law enforcement and make its way around all three counties on a year-round basis.

Cadillac Area Silent Observer President Vance Edwards said he hopes the trailer will help bring in tips from the public.

“We have roughly about 3,500 people within the three-county area who have warrants for their arrest,” Edwards said.

“We need to do something about it. We think this law enforcement tool will be a valuable asset and be able to bring some of these people to justice and once again create safe neighborhoods,” Edwards said.

Edwards said they have been working on this trailer for nearly two years and dedicated this unveiling to all law enforcement officers across the state.

He also believes it is the first of its kind in Michigan.
