Stephanie Vaquer Didn’t Seriously Consider Joining AEW During Negotiations With WWE

At AEW’s Forbidden Door event, Stephanie Vaquer captivated the audience with her impressive performance, catching the attention of WWE and eventually leading her to sign with the company. However, it seems that she never considered joining AEW during her negotiations with WWE.

As previously reported, CMLL announced that Stephanie Vaquer was officially parting ways with the promotion and NJPW. Vaquer chose to relinquish both the CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship and the CMLL Women’s Championship, citing personal reasons that also prevented her from competing at FantasticaMania.

It was later confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer had officially signed a contract with WWE and would soon be heading to Orlando to begin her WWE training. However, fans were left wondering if she had even considered AEW.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, multiple sources have indicated that Stephanie Vaquer is not seriously considering joining AEW. A WWE insider mentioned that WWE offered Vaquer a “huge contract,” being aware of the offer she received from AEW.

“Multiple sources have stated that Stephanie Vaquer did not seriously consider AEW. One source from WWE also claimed that they offered Vaquer a “great deal” because they were aware of AEW’s offer.”

We also reported that Stephanie Vaquer upset CMLL and NJPW by signing with WWE before fulfilling her commitments. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Vaquer adjusts to WWE in general, as it’s now her new home.
