Women’s Tennis Team Announces Brad Bolton as Assistant Coach


CINCINNATI Head Coach of the Cincinnati Women’s Tennis Team Eric Toth announced the hiring of Brad Bolton as an assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.

“I am excited to have Brad come to Cincinnati to be a part of our program,” Toth said. “Brad brings a great deal of experience to his coaching journey. He has worked with some of the best coaches in college tennis who speak highly of his coaching abilities as well as his character. I am extremely excited for our current team. Brad will be a tremendous help in developing our players on and off the court as we continue to grow in the Big 12 Conference.”

Bolton was an assistant coach for the Ole Miss men’s team during the 2023-24 season and a volunteer assistant coach for the women’s team from 2020-23.

He has proven himself as a scout. Bolton, bringing in three top international players, including an ITF top 50 player.

“I couldn’t be more excited and honored by the opportunity to become an assistant coach at UC,” Bolton said. “Cincinnati is a school with a rich tradition of success, as well as a beautiful campus. Additionally, Eric is a very deserving and knowledgeable coach. I look forward to working alongside him to lead UC to the top of the Big 12 Conference.”

During the 2023-24 season at Ole Miss, he coached the No. 1 doubles team of Niko Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt, which finished the season as the No. 54 doubles team in the country according to the ITA. The duo also qualified as regional finalists in doubles.

Slavic also had a successful singles season, finishing the season ranked 45th in the country and earning himself and John Hallquist Lithén two All-SEC honors.
During the three years that Bolton has been a volunteer assistant with the Mississippi women’s tennis team, he has seen many successes within the team and players.

The program recruited its first blue-chip player in Ole Miss women’s history, reached a national ranking of No. 21 in the ITA and made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021.

Bolton oversaw five All-SEC honors, helped two players qualify for the NCAA singles tournament (Machalova 21-22 and Kareisova 23) and coached Ole Miss’ No. 1 Tiphanie Fiquet on the pro circuit. Fiquet reached a career-high ranking of 454.

Bolton’s first coaching opportunity came at Centre College from 2018-2020, where he was an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. He helped the program reach new heights during his two years there.

He helped the women’s team win its first ITA Indoor National Championship in school history.

In 2018-19, Centre featured the only conference singles player ranked in the South Atlantic Region for the season, Katharine Sherman and they also featured the only conference doubles team ranked in the South Atlantic Region during the season (Neha Rao and Hannah Doherty).

During his playing career, Bolton was ranked among the top 20 juniors in Tennessee before beginning his college career at Tennessee Wesleyan, a top NAIA program. He then completed his studies at UT-Chattanooga
