Los Angeles Chargers Unveil Cool, Luxurious New Training Facility (VIDEO)

It took the Los Angeles Chargers three years to build their new facility, but it looks like the wait was worth it.

The team unveiled its new home field, dubbed “The Bolt,” just a few miles from its home field: SoFi Stadium.

Look at:

There are three natural grass training fields and an indoor/outdoor weight room.

But it’s inside that it happens.

The ground floor includes the locker rooms, equipment room, training and medical area, weight room, hydrotherapy room, recovery room, sauna, hammam, hairdressing area and players’ lounges.

But the outdoor space is also nice and includes a swimming/rehabilitation pool and an outdoor seating area with a barbecue, fire pit and 4K QLED outdoor TVs.

The second floor includes a dining room and kitchen — operated by Wolfgang Puck Catering — with a tiled pizza oven inspired by the Chargers helmet, a rotisserie, a smoothie and coffee bar, a pasta station, a grill station and a salad bar.

Everything you need to know about “The Bolt” is here here And here.

The Chargers will begin training camp at the Bolt on July 24, but fans who have made reservations will be able to tour the facility on July 13 and 14.

“Our fans are part of the Chargers family,” said Dean Spanos, Chargers majority owner and chairman of the board. “This is their property as much as it is ours, and I want them to feel that when they come here.”

Spanos also released the following statement:

“I haven’t been this excited in a long time. I see it in the community, I see it within the organization, from our staff to our players to our coaches, it’s electrifying. Having Jim Harbaugh here has made us realize how important our team is to us and to the community. And now we have this new facility that everyone has been talking about for over two years. Our fans are excited. You see it everywhere you go. I hear they can’t wait to come to camp. They can’t wait to see ‘The Bolt.’ It’s been a lot of time and a lot of work, and I feel fortunate that our staff, our players and our fans will be able to enjoy it for years to come.”

It might be just what the Bolts need to get electrified again after last season’s 5-12 record.
