A huge creature the size of a minibus can be seen roaming Loch Ness, making for an incredible sighting of the mythical monster.

Eoin O’Faodhagain said his “heart leapt” when he saw the 5.5-metre-tall creature while he was watching the water via webcam. He added: “I noticed two dark shapes moving in sequence with each other about 100 metres out into Loch Ness.

“My heart leapt and I was amazed at the length of what appeared before my eyes. I thought it was a really interesting and intriguing observation, and visually clear.”

He estimates the creature filmed was between 5 and 5.5 metres long, roughly the size of a 12-seater Ford Transit minibus.

“There is no known creature in Loch Ness that is between 16 and 18 feet long,” said Eoin, 59. “I don’t think it’s any kind of fish.

“I would imagine that an eel, even a giant one, would be more flexible and wiggle more, but this creature moves in a more rigid manner. That’s why I think it’s supported by a much larger body.”

He added: “I think it could be Nessie – excluding all other known creatures because of their size.”

In the video, two shapes – one smaller, one larger – are seen moving slowly north as the camera pans from left to right and then right again. Mr O’Faodhagain, a veteran Nessie hunter, believes they are both part of the same enormous animal.
