Jelly Roll Defends Morgan Wallen After Concert Canceled For Bad Cause

Morgan Wallen is sick and Jelly roll will not tolerate all slander. He passionately defended his friend in Tampa Bay on Friday night after their show at Raymond James Stadium was postponed due to illness.

All rumors about Wallen are false!

Jelly Roll was scheduled to open for Wallen with Nate Smith and Bryan Martin. They played to a sold-out crowd on Thursday. Friday’s show was canceled due to unfortunate timing, less than an hour before the doors opened, in addition to his two Charlotte shows next week.

While most of Wallen’s fans were sympathetic, especially after he appeared ill in videos the night before, there were plenty of detractors. The 31-year-old country superstar was widely criticized for the last-minute postponement and accused of being hungover.

Jelly Roll wants people to know that Wallen is actually sick. He addressed the “controversy” shortly after taking the stage at his surprise pop-up show and made it clear that the illness is real. In fact, he even encouraged Wallen not to play Thursday night!

Although Wallen was unable to perform Friday, Jelly Roll organized a free concert for all ticket holders at the Dallas Bull to make up for the disappointment. Tailgates immediately began popping up all over town.

It was chaos trying to come in.

But the show turned out to be epic once the line was gone and people were inside! Tampa’s most famous country bar was packed.

Jelly Roll, as usual, was extremely humble throughout the evening. He continues to show gratitude above all else and greatly appreciates everyone who showed up.

Unfortunately, Jelly Roll was supposed to perform “Simple Man” with Lynard Skynard at the stadium concert. It obviously didn’t go as planned, but he still performed the song!
