Bears OL Kiran Amegadjie featured in ‘Meet the Rookies’ series

Kiran Amegadjie grew up a Chicago Bears fan, so it was a dream come true for him to be selected in the draft, but it was even more special when the Bears picked him up with the 75th overall pick.

Amegadjie met head coach Matt Eberflus last summer on a golf course, which was a precursor to what was to come. It’s one of the many things we learned about him in “Meet the Rookies,” a miniseries the Bears are releasing on social media.

Through this video, you can see some of Amegadjie’s progression through high school and college before being drafted by the NFL. Family and education played a big part in all of this for him, which is a good sign.

Playing for an Ivy League school and making it to the NFL is never easy. It’s not the most traditional way to do it, but Amegadjie uses that as motivation. He reflects on how Yale influenced him to become the player he is today.

The Bears hope to develop an exceptional offensive line in the coming years. If Amegadjie develops into a great individual player, he will be a key part of achieving that goal.
