Did Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Drop a Cryptic Message After His Stunning Exclusion from Team USA’s 2024 Olympics?

The famous annual sporting event provided the perfect opportunity for Jaylen Brown to speak publicly about his stunning omission from Team USA, and the Boston Celtics star broke his silence but left many wondering what his comments meant.

“It’s great to have the support, and one day I’ll share my story. People don’t have all the information in the world that they want to know. It’s great to be at the ESPYs and hold the Larry O’Brien trophy,” Brown said, via Noa Dalzell of SBNation.

Despite winning the Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Finals MVP and Larry O’Brien award this season, Brown was not named to Team USA. He was supposed to replace Kawhi Leonard, who withdrew due to injuries, but teammate Derrick White was called up instead.

Jaylen Brown speculated that he was snubbed because of his previous conflict with Nike, the official equipment supplier of the American team.

Boston Celtics well represented at Paris Olympics

Even though Jaylen Brown is absent, the Boston Celtics brand will once again be present on the world stage as Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Jrue Holiday will represent the 2024 NBA champions in Paris.

Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday are seeking their second Olympic gold medals for the United States, while White is aiming for his first.

Team USA’s title defense will begin on July 28. The Americans are in Group C alongside Serbia, South Sudan and Puerto Rico.
