Shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent And The voice Radio shows remain popular despite being on television for years. Yes, everyone loves watching and listening to people sing and perform. However, the staying power of these shows comes from the stories and journeys of the contestants.

The reality is that many people never get that opportunity, for one reason or another, to show off their God-given talents and show others what they’re capable of. Richard Goodall is a janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana. He wanted nothing more than to show others what he could do after people told him he had the talent to do it. So he hopped on a plane (his first time flying) to Los Angeles and kicked off the ceremony. America’s Got Talent judge a performance they won’t soon forget.

Richard auditioned by singing the Journey classic “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which he says he chose for obvious reasons.

A single moment can change a life forever. Richard experienced one of those moments when he auditioned in front of the show’s four judges and the studio audience. It was a magical moment for everyone involved: the studio audience, the judges and Richard.

From the moment he opened his mouth and began singing the song’s iconic first verse, Richard stunned and astonished everyone with his magnificent, God-given musical talents.

The judges were full of praise for Richard, giving him compliment after compliment. Heidi Klum responded by hitting the Golden Buzzer and sending confetti onto the floor.

Richard was in tears at the overwhelmingly positive reception.
