Urgent £100 message sent to customers nationwide

Urgent £100 message sent to customers nationwide

Nationwide customers are being told they only have hours left to claim a free £100 cash payment. The money is not available to all Nationwide customers, but almost four million have received it.

The money was paid out as part of the building society’s Fairer Share scheme to help customers with living costs. The money started arriving in bank accounts on June 13 and the deadline for payments is today, Friday June 28.

Nationwide will likely have contacted you if you are eligible for one of the special payments, either via the banking app or by post or email. Anyone who hasn’t yet received the money could do so today.

To be eligible for a payment, you must have an eligible checking account and an eligible savings or mortgage product. You must have both accounts as of March 31 of this year and still have them open this month.

The following current accounts will entitle you to payment:

  • FlexPlus

  • FlexOne

  • FlexStudent

  • FlexGraduate

  • Flex Account

  • FlexDirect

  • FlexBasic

The £100 payment will appear as a ‘Nationwide Fairer Share Payment’ on your bank statement, so customers can see if they’ve received one. If you haven’t received a payment by the end of the day, it’s likely you’re a Nationwide customer who isn’t eligible for the support.

Nationwide said it has already made 99.9% of payments.
