RNC stands silent as room prays for victims of Trump shooting | News

Prayers were held for the victims of the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally on the first day of the Republican National Convention.

Members stood silent Monday (July 15) to pray for the victims and their families following Saturday’s shooting.

The shooting at the former president’s rally in Pennsylvania injured Trump and left one attendee dead and two others seriously injured.

Authorities said the man killed in the assassination attempt on Trump was Corey Comperatore, 50, of Sarver, Pennsylvania.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley said: “Let us take a moment of silence to reflect on the events that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, and to pray for the victims and their families.”
