Sophie's Place Music Therapy Room Officially Opens

Sophie’s Place is a new state-of-the-art music therapy room that opened at Renown Children’s Hospital on Monday 15 July.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young and his wife Barb launched the Forever Young Foundation, which included supporting the development of Sophie’s Places across the country.

The official ribbon cutting took place Monday, with Barb and Steve Young, Jacquelyn Love, Kent and Anne Marie Barton, and Renown Health President and CEO Dr. Brian Erling in attendance.

They hope Sophie’s Place will improve children’s lives by integrating the healing power of music into healthcare.
