Craven County Intersection to Become One-Way Stop

A T-intersection outside downtown New Bern will become an all-way stop to improve traffic safety.

The change will be made Tuesday morning at Madam Moores Lane and Howell Road after the N.C. Department of Transportation reviews crash patterns and traffic counts.

Currently, only drivers traveling on Madam Moores Lane are required to stop.

People should be careful using this intersection and watch for workers and crews when this transition is made tomorrow morning, weather permitting.
