Miami Dolphins prepare to welcome recruits

Miami Dolphins prepare to welcome recruits

The time is almost here as we prepare to welcome these rookies and draft picks to Miami Gardens.

Of course, the Baptist Health Training Complex will be the first opportunity for NFL players. But let’s take a look back at what happened here this offseason.

New pieces and additions are coming to the Dolphins. That includes Odell Beckham Jr.

“It’s a place I enjoy,” Beckham said. “Beautiful weather, obviously beautiful facilities and organization. An opportunity I’m really excited about.”

He hopes to add more opportunities for the offense – and for Tua.

Speaking of Tua Tagovailoa, he seems ready. He has lost weight and hopes to sign a new contract.

“I’m not blind to people who are in my situation and getting paid,” Tagovailoa said. “Does it worry me? I don’t. But we’ve had a lot of discussions to try to move things in the right direction.”

Tyreek Hill is also looking for more money. He spoke to us about his negotiations during OTAs.

“At the end of the day, if you feel like you’re in the top five or something, it’s like you’re working at Amazon,” Hill said. “If you’re one of the top delivery people at Amazon, you’re going to have a certain type of feeling. You’re going to go to your boss and say, ‘Hey man, I do 100 runs and this guy only does 65.’ I’m supposed to be the highest paid person. You get my drift?”

But let’s focus on the project for a second.

Players like Chop Robinson will be around starting Tuesday, hoping to have a chance to help the Dolphins on the defensive line.

“It’s crazy. I’ve been working for this since I was five years old,” Robinson said. “I’ve played football my whole life. I’ve worked hard. I’ve sacrificed a lot to get here. This is just the first step. Once you’re here, you’ve got to stay here. I’m ready to work hard.”

The schedule has been released for when we’ll see these veterans and rookies head to Miami Gardens.

You’ll officially be able to see the Miami Dolphins take the field on July 28.
