Wiz Khalifa has just broken his silence after being charged with illegal drug possession in Romania.

The 36-year-old musician opened up about the situation after finding himself in a sticky situation after smoking marijuana on stage.

This incident occurred during a performance at the Beach please! event, a festival headlined by Khalifa in Costinesti.

The rapper, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, took to his official X account, formerly Twitter, to apologize in light of the aforementioned situation.

“Last night’s show was amazing,” Khalifa wrote, beginning his tweet.

He continued: “I did not want to disrespect any country, Romania, by going on stage.”

Wiz Khalifa’s apology note comes after authorities allegedly found cannabis in his possession in the early hours of Sunday, according to the French news agency, France Media Agency (AFP).

Under Romanian law, cannabis falls under the category of “risky drugs” and, if convicted, Wiz Khalifa faces up to 10 years in prison.
