Dolphin swimmers dominate summer competition

The Bret Harte Dolphins youth swim team held its second meet of the summer, featuring two other teams. The Dolphins faced off against Tuolumne County Aquatics and Tuolumne Parks and Rec on July 10 at Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp.

The Dolphins finished with a score of 2,356, while Tuolumne County Aquatics scored 2,016 and Tuolumne Parks and Rec scored 860. The next meet is scheduled for July 24 at Angels Camp.

Girls, 6 years and under
Hazel Shinn finished the 25-meter freestyle in 37.22 seconds. In the 25-meter backstroke, Shinn finished in 43.70 seconds. And Shinn finished the 25-meter breaststroke in 48.77 seconds.

Girls, 7-8 years old
In the 25-meter butterfly, Lily Jardine finished in 29.93 seconds, Alice Tubley in 31.54 seconds and Davina Robles in 40.04 seconds. In the 25-meter freestyle, Robin East finished in 31.82 seconds, Robles in 34.76 seconds and Maria Newsom in 38.42 seconds. In the 100-meter individual medley, Tubley finished in 1:53.24 and Jardine in 2:41.70. In the 25-meter backstroke, Tubley finished in 27.83 seconds, Jardine in 29.27 seconds and Newsom in 47.58 seconds. In the 25-meter breaststroke, Jardine finished in 40.84 seconds, Robles in 42.92 seconds, East in 46.34 seconds and Newsom in 50.90 seconds. And in the 50-meter freestyle, Tubley finished in 52.38 and East finished in 1:14.73.

Girls, 9-10 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Ada Moore finished in 1:39.29. In the 25-meter butterfly, Lucy Bertolino finished in 31.07 and Miriam Cook in 32.19. In the 25-meter freestyle, Emma Newsome finished in 22.98, Cook in 25.37 and Dylan Shinn in 34.01. In the 100-meter medley, Moore finished in 1:53.70 and Sasha Mellera in 2:23.13. In the 25-meter backstroke, Newsome finished in 26.06, Cook in 28.82 and Shinn in 31.28. In the 50-meter backstroke, Moore finished in 52.39 and Mellera in 58.63. In the 25-meter breaststroke, Newsome finished in 30.37 seconds, Bertolino in 33.09 seconds and Shinn in 40.67 seconds. In the 50-meter freestyle, Moore finished in 43.52 seconds, Newsome in 55.86 seconds and Cook in 1:10.80 seconds.

Girls, 11-12 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Addy Rugo finished in 1:17.97; Gwyneth Cook finished in 1:35.64; Sadie Henrickson finished in 1:42.21; and Juliett Robbins finished in 1:49.46. In the 50-meter butterfly, Cook finished in 43.77; Solvej Graveline finished in 45.88; Henrickson finished in 57.21; and Amelia Whitear finished in 57.70. Rugo finished the 100-meter individual medley in 1:31.64. In the 50-meter backstroke, Cook finished in 44.20; Graveline finished in 48.80; Eva Teeter finished in 50.40; and Whitear finished in 54.53. In the 50-meter breaststroke, Graveline finished in 43.28; Rugo finished in 49.45; Teeter in 59.53; Robbins in 59.77; Henrickson in 1:01.33; and Whitear in 1:09.06. And in the 50-yard freestyle, Rugo finished in 35.39; Graveline in 39.25; Cook in 41.40; Teeter in 43.90; Henrickson in 45.89; Whitear in 48.52; and Robbins in 48.61.

Girls, 13-14 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Winslow Scott finished in 1:23.09. In the 50-meter butterfly, Lois Miles finished in 45.07. Miles finished the 100-meter individual medley in 1:40.38. In the 50-meter backstroke, Scott finished in 43.60 and Miles in 49.44. Scott finished the 50-meter breaststroke in 46.19. And in the 50-meter freestyle, Scott finished in 36.80 and Miles in 37.01.

Girls, 15-16 years old
In the 100-metre freestyle, Reese Roeder finished in 1:05.45. In the 100-metre medley, Roeder finished in 1:17.19 and Bonnevine Graveline in 1:41.13. Roeder finished the 50-metre backstroke in 33.74 and Graveline in 52.89. Graveline finished the 50-metre breaststroke in 43.00. And in the 50-metre freestyle, Roeder finished in 29.01 and Graveline in 41.93.

Boys, 6 years and under
In the 25-meter butterfly, Joey Tubley finished in 45.31 seconds and Jake Houle in 1:09.62 seconds. In the 25-meter freestyle, Tubley finished in 29.49 seconds and Houle in 1:02.97 seconds. Tubley finished the 25-meter backstroke in 32.80 seconds and Houle finished the 25-meter breaststroke in 1:14.97 seconds. And in the 50-meter freestyle, Tubley finished in 1:06.92 seconds and Houle in 2:24.06 seconds.

Boys, 7-8 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Ronin Rugo finished in 2:08.91. In the 25-meter butterfly, Rugo finished in 34.20 and Judd Houle finished in 48.14. Rugo finished the 50-meter butterfly in 1:21.26. In the 25-meter freestyle, Houle finished in 32.30; Levi Robertson finished in 34.69; Jason Orr finished in 38.33; Joseph Cook finished in 56.51; and Jay Bruchs finished in 1:26.00. In the 25-meter backstroke, Robertson finished in 31.10; Orr finished in 38.26; Houle finished in 41.13; and Bruchs finished in 1:14.37. Orr finished the 50-meter backstroke in 1:22.57. In the 25-meter breaststroke, Robertson finished in 34.40 seconds, Orr in 56.48 seconds and Cook in 1:00.62 seconds. In the 50-meter freestyle, Houle finished in 1:08.98 seconds, Robertson in 1:19.98 seconds, Cook in 2:02.70 seconds and Bruchs in 2:36.42 seconds.

Boys, 9-10 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Zain Jardine finished in 1:42.49. In the 25-meter butterfly, Aspen Slade finished in 1:05.08. In the 50-meter butterfly, River Rickerson finished in 55.66. In the 25-meter freestyle, Ambrose Scott finished in 19.68; Elijah Madsen finished in 36.41; and Slade finished in 46.85. In the 100-meter medley, Jardine finished in 1:52.41; Rickerson finished in 1:55.24; and Slade finished in 4:15.51. In the 25-meter backstroke, Scott finished in 23.23 and Slade finished in 56.90. In the 50-meter backstroke, Jardine finished in 51.98 and Madsen finished in 1:07.64. In the 25-meter breaststroke, Scott finished in 28.73 seconds and Madsen in 46.41 seconds. In the 50-meter breaststroke, Jardine finished in 58.85 seconds and Rickerson in 1:05.88 seconds. And in the 50-meter freestyle, Rickerson finished in 45.69 seconds, Scott in 45.86 seconds and Madsen in 1:12.67 seconds.

Boys, 11-12 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Seth Akers finished in 2:34.25. Akers finished the 50-meter butterfly in 1:27.07. In the 100-meter medley, Maddox Nelson finished in 1:33.99 and Wyatt East in 2:12.01. East finished the 50-meter backstroke in 1:04.61. In the 50-meter breaststroke, Nelson finished in 42.50 and East in 1:08.95. In the 50-meter freestyle, Nelson finished in 39.65 and East in 51.03.

Boys, 13-14 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Fulton Scott finished in 1:09.60; Wesley Shakal finished in 1:22.95; Tony Broglio finished in 1:41.77; and Wyatt Huntley finished in 2:10.80. In the 50-meter butterfly, Scott finished in 34.91; Broglio finished in 1:00.70; and Amon Slade finished in 1:04.82. Broglio finished the 100-meter medley in 1:59.65. In the 50-meter backstroke, Scott finished in 37.10; Shakal finished in 39.59; Huntley finished in 53.42; Broglio finished in 53.62; and Slade finished in 53.99. In the 50-meter breaststroke, Shakal finished in 54.59 seconds and Slade in 59.85 seconds. In the 50-meter freestyle, Scott finished in 30.48 seconds, Shakal in 35.80 seconds, Slade in 45.84 seconds and Huntley in 53.93 seconds.

Boys, 15-16 years old
In the 100-meter freestyle, Simon Akers finished in 58.28 seconds. Akers finished the 50-meter butterfly in 29.42 seconds. In the 100-meter medley, Marion Scott finished in 1:08.48 seconds and Akers in 1:17.17 seconds. Scott finished the 50-meter breaststroke in 34.88 seconds. In the 50-meter freestyle, Scott finished in 25.99 seconds and Akers in 27.80 seconds.
