Florida A&M trustees to meet Tuesday following resignation of President Larry Robinson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida A&M University Board of Trustees will meet next week, nearly two weeks after FAMU President Larry Robinson announced his resignation.

According to information published on its website, the board of directors will hold an online meeting on July 23. The agenda for the meeting has not yet been published.

Florida A&M University President Dr. Larry Robinson announced Friday that he plans to step down as president, leaving some students confused and saddened.

It is unclear when Robinson will officially step down as president. He plans to take a one-year sabbatical before returning to serve as a professor in FAMU’s School of the Environment, the position he held before becoming president.

Robinson has served as president since 2017 and as interim president twice since beginning his career at FAMU in 1997.
