Nikola Jokic was shocked that someone forgot his Serbia jersey before the game

Team Serbia has big plans for the men’s basketball portion of the 2024 Paris Olympics. With three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, the Serbians are hoping to, at the very least, secure a medal for their efforts in France. With the Denver Nuggets star’s talent, the team is certainly good enough to at least take home bronze.

But before that happens, perhaps they should make sure their best player is wearing his Serbian jersey.

In a video of Jokic getting ready for Serbia’s exhibition game against Australia on Tuesday, the big man looks for his jersey. And looks for it. And looks for it. And looks for it again. To Jokic’s amazement, he can’t find it anywhere. Once again, Jokic is the main reason why Serbia has high basketball hopes for these Olympics.

Luckily, someone from the Serbian staff quickly realised their mistake and ran down the tunnel to retrieve the team talisman’s jersey before it was too late:

Phew! Crisis averted!

Even though Serbia didn’t fare well in this exhibition loss, the national team can take comfort in knowing that they finally dressed the world’s best basketball player properly for the biggest international tournament on the planet. Next time, someone might want to keep an eye on Serbia’s number 15 in white.

They are quite important!
