Miranda Lambert interrupts her show in Montana to break up a fight

Miranda Lambert’s concerts are for dancing and drinking, not fighting. At a concert at Montana’s Under the Big Sky festival this weekend, Lambert interrupted her set to call out fans who appeared to be fighting and not paying attention.

“I see your head is not turned the right way, which is that way,” she said, pointing at herself. “If you came to visit us, you can do that somewhere else. If you came to sing country music, drink beer and party, that’s what we’re doing tonight.”

“Is everything clear? Is all the drama over?” she asked, adding, “Fighting is not acceptable. And it’s always the girls who fight. We’re going crazy! Cheers to all. I’ll wait.”

Lambert was performing at the Montana festival this weekend, where she headlined with Billy Strings and Turnpike Troubadours. Brothers Osborne, Mt. Joy, Tanya Tooker and Sierra Ferrell also performed.

Lambert often seems to notice fights in the audience at her show. At one show in late June, she broke up a fight while she was performing her ballad, “Tin Man.”

“You all fighting? During this song? Because I’m going down there and you don’t want that. We’re not doing it today,” Lambert told the crowd. “It’s always the girls, we always get mad and start hitting each other. Dear police officers, can we just go ahead and make them leave, that would be great. Thank you so much.”

A few days later, Lambert shared a video on Instagram joking about When She has no problem with her fans fighting. “If you want to fight at my shows, I’m in. Give them goosebumps,” she said on July 2. “I’ve got five songs for you: ‘Fastest Girl in Town,’ ‘Kerosene,’ ‘Little Red Wagon,’ ‘Wranglers,’ ‘Gun Powder & Lead.’ Don’t do it during ‘Tin Man.’ That’s not the time.”

Tendency

“I know you can hear the bullshit because it’s a ballad, but this is not the time,” she added. “So pick your moment.”

Lambert’s song “Ain’t in Kansas Anymore” is set to feature in the upcoming film, Tornadoes. The soundtrack song follows his singles “Dammit Randy” and “Wranglers,” released in June and May, respectively. His latest album, Palominoarrived in 2022.
