NBA First-Round Candidate Gives Compelling Reason to Support Trump: ‘Not at All’

Former NBA first-round draft pick Royce White has fearlessly expressed his unwavering support for Donald Trump.

Ahead of Trump’s expected speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday, White is reminding people why he’s running for Donald Trump in the upcoming election, despite past and current scrutiny.

NBA insider Scoop B Robinson caught up with Royce White, who now plays for Ice Cube’s Big 3 basketball league in Baltimore, Maryland. Scoop asked the basketball player what message he wanted to convey by writing “Trump” on his head for others to see, along with other strong political messages. White gave an impassioned response in support of Trump.

LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW:

“The message is: I think Donald Trump would be a better candidate for president. I don’t even think it’s close. The problem isn’t even the presidency. The problem is ideas.”

For White, choosing to vote for Trump means supporting his vision of a united America rather than blindly aligning with a political party.

In recent years, White has fought to bring sanity to an increasingly divided nation.

White has written messages on the side of his head during games, including “Trump 2024” and “Free the Uighurs.” The latter phrase has been a thorn in the NBA’s side for some time, as the league continues to accept money from China (a purveyor of modern-day genocide against the Uighurs) while supporting social initiatives in the United States.

White, who is also running for the U.S. Senate, made a poignant remark about electing a president who values America’s unique constitutional rights for its citizens, alluding to current President Joe Biden’s hot-button issue of border security.

He added: “The idea that ‘citizenship’ has value should mean a lot to black people. If you’re not a citizen, you can’t have rights. Why would black people want to trade our national rights, our constitutional rights, for global rights? Are you a global citizen? Are you a citizen of the whole world? Of course not. You’re not a citizen of the whole world. There’s no such thing as global citizenship.”

“Constitutional rights. If you don’t have a border, then you don’t have a country. If you don’t have a country, then you’re not a citizen. If you’re not a citizen, then you can’t have rights. So it comes down to fundamental things like that. It’s not even about Trump or Biden personally. It’s about ideas.”

White believes that Trump can once again rid Washington of its corrupt politicians, which is why he has publicly supported Trump against many critics.

“Yes, I’m done with the Democrats, we’re done with them,” White added.
