Peter Andre claims he was ‘banned’ from Buckingham Palace after destroying priceless artefact in epic blunder that left late Queen ‘unhappy’

Peter Andre says he was “devastated” after being banned from Buckingham Palace following an epic blunder during a visit in 2019.

The singer, 51, revealed he was “never invited back” after accidentally ruining a beautiful and expensive carpet which left the late Queen “unhappy”.

Peter had been invited to the royal residence three times, most recently for a Duke of Edinburgh awards ceremony.

He told the Times: “I was telling a joke when I spilled my black coffee and it stained this beautiful red carpet.”

“One of the employees joked: ‘A square meter of this carpet costs more than your house.’”

He continued: “As I was leaving, a security guard at the main entrance said, ‘Her Majesty is not going to be happy.’ They all knew before I left the building.”

MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

It comes after Peter revealed what he did differently after welcoming his fifth child to “avoid repeating the same mistakes” he made with his eldest.

The singer and his wife Emily, 34, share children Amelia, 10, Theo, seven, and Arabella, 11 weeks.

He is also father to Junior, 19, and Princess, 16, whom he shares with his ex-wife Katie Price, to whom he was married between 2005 and 2009.

Discussing Emily’s strict parenting rules, Peter spoke of how he had “lost some moments” with his older children and vowed to spend more time with Arabella.

Speaking in an interview with Heat Magazine, he explained: “I’ve always had a bond with all my children, but with Arabella I made sure I spent quality time with her from the day she was born.

He revealed that he had stopped working and added: “I didn’t want to miss out on the time with Arabella that I had lost with my other children. More importantly, being at home has allowed me to spend more time with all the children.”

Peter also revealed that Emily banned the kids from using their phones during mealtimes to ensure they spend time together.

The TV personality said: “It’s a real bonding opportunity for us. Emily is quite strict about it, but she’s right, we were both brought up that way.”

His candid interview comes after he revealed he was “grateful” to have had time to “bond” with newborn Arabella after work prevented him from spending time with his older children.

Speaking about Arabella’s arrival, Peter told The Sun: “This time we’re pretty sure it’ll be the last.

“Never say never. I’m not 100% sure, but I enjoy spending time with her.

“I haven’t really had that chance before with others because of work, so I’m grateful for how it’s worked out.

“Everyone wants to spend time with her whenever they can. Junior goes to see her first.”

Peter and Emily recently revealed the adorable nickname they gave to their youngest daughter Arabella.

Sharing the video of his wife again, Peter posted a clip of his newborn to his Instagram Stories on Saturday.

In the sweet clip, Emily, who is a doctor, held her little one in her arms as she watched her other children play with water balloons in the background.

She captioned her short homemade video: “Little Belle watches kids play with water balloons.”

Arabella looked adorable in a colourful feather print bodysuit and looked comfortable as her doting mother cradled her in her arms.

Their sweet nickname for the newborn comes as a surprise given the couple’s struggle to decide on his legal name.
