Handgun Found During Traffic Stop in Long Beach

Officers recovered a handgun during a traffic stop in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.

Officers made the stop around 7:20 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Pacific Coast Highway, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

“During their investigation, officers discovered that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of an unauthorized firearm,” according to a police statement. “The suspect was arrested and officers recovered the firearm. The investigation is ongoing.”
