Nia Jax: “There’s more support among WWE members today”

A lot changed in WWE once Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over creative from Vince McMahon in the summer of 2022, following the bribery scandal, before the horrific allegations were made against McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

The product is better and the company is doing record business. The morale of those who work for the company, whether it’s employees, on-air performers or wrestlers, has also improved. As Nia Jax recently explained, this has been felt in the WWE locker room.

Speaking with SportsKeeda, Jax noted that the locker room is more united today than it used to be and that their job is a lot of fun these days.

“The locker room culture is constantly evolving, but I feel like we have more support for each other. I come from a team background. I’ve played sports my whole life and I’ve always thought that you’re only as strong as your weakest link. I feel like, like, before, everyone took it as a ‘me, me, me’ thing where it was like, ‘I have to do this,’ and now it’s like, ‘Well, we all have to come together to support this guy,’ and ‘we all have to come together,’ so I think it’s more of a team, a group effort in the locker room, I think.” I also feel like a lot of our creatives and producers are just like, ‘Hey, this is what we’re doing, but make sure you realize it, have fun. Enjoy what you’re doing.’ It’s not like I’m like, oh my God, I did this. I’m going to have so much impact when I get backstage. “It’s more just to try something. If it doesn’t work, we try to find a solution. We’ll see later. It’s a different culture, a different atmosphere… I feel like there’s more support and encouragement.”

Jax is expected to challenge Bayley for the women’s title at next month’s SummerSlam PLE after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament.
