Whether NEET 2024 will be cancelled or not depends on the Supreme Court verdict. While the hearing is underway, more than 23 medical aspirants are waiting for a decision.

The Supreme Court of India is hearing a batch of around 40 petitions related to alleged discrepancies and leaks of documents in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test. NEET UG Results 2024. Some students and stakeholders are demanding a re-NEET, however, many are against the re-examination. Well, the decision regarding NEET 2024 The decision will not be taken by the Supreme Court until after the hearing has concluded.

A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra is hearing over 40 petitions, including those filed by the NTA seeking transfer of cases pending against it in various high courts on the NEET-UG row to the Supreme Court to avoid multiplicity of litigation. Students are now demanding that the Supreme Court announce its verdict as soon as possible as the stress and pressure continue. One of the candidates said, “I fail to understand that I have to study to retake the NEET as my current result is final. I am eagerly waiting for the Supreme Court’s verdict.”

NEET 2024 Review: Students’ Reaction

“Check the 12th grade score and match the Neet score and decide whether it requires a fresh Neet. It is not correct if someone has scored 79% in 12th grade and has a Neet score of 550-600… this data needs to be analysed by the court,” said one of the candidates.

“Please cancel this NEET exam, use the board results or conduct it again,” said Gaurav, a NEET aspirant from Haryana.

“If NEET is conducted again, it will be a grave injustice to the students who have cracked it without any unfair means,” said Muska, a NEET aspirant from Lucknow.

“NEET should not be cancelled for all, authorities should hold re-examination for candidates and centres caught cheating,” said Abhishek, a NEET aspirant.

The NEET UG 2024 was conducted by the NTA for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country on May 5.
