MUTV quickly shut down after realizing what the fan was wearing during the pre-season tour

Manchester United were the victims of an embarrassing blunder on their official TV channel during their pre-season friendly against Rangers.

Manchester United began their pre-season with a 1-0 defeat at Rosenborg on Monday.

But the club recorded their first win before the new season by beating Rangers 2-0 on Saturday.

Leny Yoro, who joined the Red Devils from Lille, made his debut and impressed the fans with his defensive display.

Amad Diallo opened the scoring just before the break before Joe Hugill scored the second goal in the 70th minute.

Manchester United players wore the club’s new home kit and they plan to launch a new third kit.

The third strip has yet to be officially released or revealed, but a fan in Scotland managed to get their hands on the new top.

And he conducted a live interview on MUTV, revealing the kit.

But they quickly cut off contact after realising the Manchester United fan’s shirt was a major blunder.

It goes without saying that Internet users reacted to the sequence broadcast on MUTV.

One X user wrote: “I’m crying because MUTV noticed he was wearing an unreleased version of the third jersey.”

A second tweeted: “They just interviewed a guy on MUTV during the game, he was wearing the as yet unreleased and unreleased United White third kit! They quickly ended the interview and turned the camera away!”

A third added: “Love this fan on MUTV wearing the unreleased third jersey.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United head to the United States for a pre-season tour where they will face Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool.

Speaking after his side’s win over Rangers, Erik ten Hag said: “Pre-season is all about friendlies and I want to win every game, so I was very disappointed on Monday, especially with the performance.

“It’s even more important in pre-season: performance.

“We want to grow and that’s what we saw today compared to Monday, which was a low level. Today was much better, especially in terms of aggression, which was much better.

“We were much more on the front foot and it was a team effort in both halves, so yeah, it was nice to watch.”
