Kentucky basketball team offers five-star guard for 2025 class

Mark Pope and his coaching staff are still looking for talent for the 2025 class and are offering elite players. Coach Pope just offered five-star combo point guard Brayden Burries, who is ranked the 14th best player in the 2025 class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

After watching the film on Burries, it’s a little surprising that coach Pope and his staff didn’t offer the five-star sooner, as he’s a perfect fit at the guard position for what this team is looking for.

Burries is a massive guard at 6’4″, 200 lbs, which helps him get to the basket, but he can also shoot. Burries has a similar build to Otega Oweh, and players with that type of build at the guard position tend to be strong defenders and get to the basket easily due to their natural strength.

It appears Burries is interested in a visit to Kentucky, and when a player is interested in a visit, it usually means the school is at the top of his list.

In recruiting battles like this, after the coaching staff offers the player, the next step is to bring the player to campus for a visit, and it appears that will happen sooner rather than later.

Coach Pope continues to seek out elite five-star players for the 2025 class, so it appears the coaching staff will be bringing in a top-notch recruiting class. Burries is a name to keep in mind as Kentucky continues to seek out elite players for the 2025 class.
