What happens when you discover your abuser years later? And you find out it was a member of your own family?

This Reddit story chronicles an embarrassing incident in high school and the petty revenge that followed decades later when the author discovered the call was coming from inside the house.

This is really great, so enjoy it!

The day before my freshman year graduation, I was in the cafeteria waiting for the bell to ring for the end of lunch.

It was common for students to start lining up outside the doors waiting for the bell to ring.

Usually I didn’t do this and just waited in my seat with my friends.

It seems like a normal day, until…

The bell rang and I was about to get up, when I was hit on the side of the head with an opened Trix yogurt.

Everyone was leaving and there was no indication of who had thrown the thing. My friends helped me clean it up as much as possible and I stopped at the bathroom to try to wash it off.

It’s bad enough being attacked by yogurt, it’s even worse when that yogurt ends up cooking in the afternoon sun.

I managed to get most of my songs out, but I had to rush to the football field for band practice. The band was practicing for the graduation ceremony the next day.

So by noon, on the big open soccer field, the rest of the yogurt had cooked into my hair, and I was scraping the dried yogurt out of my hair until I could take a shower.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, and a decade and a half later, it’s certainly freezing.

15 YEARS LATER

I’m sitting at the table with my cousins at my aunt’s house. My younger cousin was talking about all the immature things he did in high school, including opening Trix yogurts and throwing them over his shoulder.

I said, “It was you!?!?!”

He’s not a member of your family!

I then began to tell him the story of my ordeal as he burst out laughing at my misfortune.

So, 15 years later, I found my yogurt catcher… and it was my annoying young cousin!

I’m sure the cousin reacted maturely and let it go, right?

For the past 3 years, at every meeting, he calls me to tell the newcomer the story of yogurt.

Of course not. But our author has a revenge to take on the mind. And he has a plan.

So, I’ve been planning for a year to get revenge by taking a yogurt and smashing it on his head.

Tonight, at my family’s seafood dinner, I got my revenge.

It’s time to pay the price!

While he was sitting at the table, opening crab legs, I took the yogurt, approached him from behind and took pleasure in crushing it on his head!

I rubbed it and it went all over the side of his head, in his beard and on his shirt.

And he ends with a chef’s kiss as a line.

Then I leaned over and said, “We’re even now.”

The author had to wait a long time to identify the culprit and get his revenge, but I would say he absolutely won in the end.

Let’s see if Reddit commenters agree.

The best comment salutes the author’s patience.

Or maybe MUCH further.

It’s always good to remember that Trix are for kids, not pranks.

But if you must get revenge, make sure you never give up.
