Discussion

Installing Ryobi Link System Wall Panels

To give some context, here’s what the full-size wall tracks look like. While the full-size tracks are larger and designed to be connected together horizontally or vertically to form larger panels, the new tracks are much shorter.

The smaller size and mounting points limit load capacity, but make the new rails more suitable for use in certain applications and operating environments.

In addition to the lower weight capacity, not all Link System accessories can be attached to the new rails, especially if they are not installed next to each other.

I would say it seems like a fair trade-off, sacrificing some strength and compatibility for a much lower profile.
