Details of the facelift of the Audi Q8 in Indian version

Under the hood, the Q8 continues to be powered by the familiar 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine that produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, quattro all-wheel drive and a mild hybrid system. Audi claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.

The carmaker has revealed that the Q8 will be offered in eight exterior colour options in India – Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown and Vicuna Beige – along with four interior colour options – Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black and Pando Grey.

Audi Q8 exterior and interior updates

The biggest change in the facelift is the new headlights, which are now HD Matrix LED units with a laser as an additional high beam, and even get configurable light signatures. The grille has been subtly improved with new octagonal openings and “L”-shaped inserts. The bumper air intakes have also been reshaped. The rear also remains largely the same as its predecessor, but now features digital OLED taillights with four selectable lighting patterns that work in conjunction with the headlights.

The interior of the new Q8 is virtually identical to the outgoing model, with only a few cosmetic changes to the seat upholstery, with different stitching and inlay patterns. On the feature side, the Q8 gets an expanded app store and integrated third-party music apps such as Spotify and Amazon Music. Driver assistance systems have also been improved.

The existing Q8 is priced between Rs 1.07 crore and Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom) in India, and the facelifted model is expected to see a slight hike.
