Dana White Announces UFC Edmonton Main Event Featuring Erin Blanchfield vs. Rose Namajunas, and More

The UFC is returning to the “Great White North” and this time it’s Rogers Place and Edmonton, Alberta that will host an event.

A UFC Fight Night event is officially scheduled for Nov. 2, UFC CEO Dana White announced on Sportsnet, along with a main event pitting Rose Namajunas against Erin Blanchfield.

Blanchfield (12-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) is looking to bounce back after her first UFC loss, a unanimous decision defeat to Manon Fiorot in March. Following the loss, Blanchfield told MMA Junkie that she was hoping a fight with Namajunas would come to fruition, and her wish has now been granted.

Namajunas (13-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) enters the fight on the back of back-to-back wins over Amanda Ribas and Tracy Cortez. She is 2-1 since returning to flyweight in 2021. The one loss in that span was a split decision to Fiorot.

Also on the program is a heavyweight co-headliner between Derrick Lewis and Alexandr Romanov.

Four additional fights, all involving Canadians, were announced Thursday: Ariane Da Silva vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius, Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Dustin Stoltzfus, Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Ivana Petrovic and Chad Anheliger vs. Cody Gibson.

With this addition, the UFC Edmonton lineup includes:

  • Rose Namajunas vs. Erin Blanchfield
  • Derrick Lewis vs Alexandr Romanov
  • Ariane da Silva vs Jasmine Jasudavicius
  • Marc-André Barriault vs. Dustin Stoltzfus
  • Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Ivana Petrovic
