Square Enix Pokémon Café and Shop Closed as Typhoon Approaches

Square Enix Café Artnia and several Pokémon shops will be temporarily closing as Typhoon No. 7 approaches. The typhoon is expected to hit the Kanto region over the weekend, causing potential transportation disruptions. As a precautionary measure, Square Enix has announced that reservations made for Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Café Artnia will be canceled and refunded. Customers affected by these closures can contact the Artnia Support Center to request a refund.

In addition to Square Enix’s Artnia Cafe, Pokémon stores at Tokyo Station and Kisarazu Outlet will also be temporarily closed ahead of the typhoon on Friday, August 16, 2024, with a planned reopening on Saturday, August 17, 2024. However, the reopening schedule may change depending on the path and speed of the typhoon.

Other major events in Japan have also been affected by Typhoon No. 7. Atlus has announced the cancellation of one day of the demo test event for Persona 3 Reload And Metaphor: ReFantazio due to the typhoon. The event scheduled for August 16, 2024 has been canceled, while the event on August 17 will go ahead as scheduled. The Atlus Stalker Club broadcast, originally intended for a live audience, will now take place online due to safety reasons.
