Korea unveils trade roadmap to fight protectionism in election year

South Korea has set a goal of securing the most extensive network of free trade agreements and establishing a risk management system to cope with growing geopolitical uncertainties in a “super election” year, the industry ministry said Thursday as it announced the country’s new trade policy roadmap. At a ministerial meeting on economic affairs, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and other ministers reviewed the Yoon Suk Yeol administration’s trade achievements over the past two years and outlined an action plan for South Korea’s trade policy.
