Sony has exclusive one-year deal on Silent Hill 2 remake

Even before Silent Hill 2 Remake was announced, there were plenty of rumors circulating that the game was not only coming, but that it would also be a PlayStation exclusive.

After the official presentation, it turned out that the rumors were true and that Silent Hill 2 Remake was presented as a title exclusive to the PlayStation console (meaning that it will also be released on PC). A new trailer for the game has now been released, giving us a better look at what it has to offer – but it has also been revealed that it is a timed exclusive and how long it will last.

The answer is: one year. The game will be released on October 7th and until October 8th of next year it will only be available on Sony consoles and PC. After that, it could appear on other formats. The most obvious would be the Xbox Series S/X, but it should not be ruled out that Bloober Team and Konami also want to launch it on Switch 2, which should be released well before that date.

Check out the new trailer below.
