Australian Olympic breakdancer signs with talent agency

Australian Olympic breakdancer signs with talent agency

The Olympic judges gave him a zero. However, the Australian Olympic sensation who attempted breakdancing at the Paris Games is likely to soon be awarded much higher marks.

Rachael “Raygun” Gunn, the 36-year-old Australian breakdancer who went viral for one reason – forget it – the most the strangest breakdancing performance ever filmed, has signed with a talent agency called Born Bred Talent, which represents some of the most popular social media influencers in Australia and New Zealand.

The details of the deal are unknown, but it seems that the fact that Raygun is already viral would be a good incentive to sign it.

That being said, one industry expert said Daily Mail Australia that Raygun may not have acted quickly enough to truly capitalize on his post-Olympic internet fame.

“If she took this seriously, she should have already been on five international talk shows,” the expert told the publication.

After the outcry over his performance, Gunn spent at least some time firing back at critics who accused him of mocking the Olympic breakdancing competition, manipulating the selection process and orchestrating his rise to prominence at the Paris Games.

“I didn’t realize it would also open the door to so much hate, which has been honestly devastating,” she said.

“I went there and had a great time. I took it very seriously. I worked hard to prepare for the Olympics and I gave it my all. I really did.”

An online petition calling for an investigation into Gunn was denounced by the Australian Olympic Committee and appears to have failed to trigger an investigation.
