BA flight attendant racially abused by Blue Airlines’ Lee Ryan suspended for ‘on-board behaviour’

A BRITISH Airways flight attendant who accused Blue Jays star Lee Ryan of sexually abusing her has been suspended following “concerns about her in-flight behaviour”.

Leah Gordon was grounded after a flight to Malaga when business class passengers questioned her professionalism.

Her colleagues were also alarmed by how she interacted with customers during last month’s robbery and in other recent situations.

Leah was at the centre of a racial row following an incident on a BA flight which led to singer Ryan, 41, being convicted last year.

But sources say she is now at the centre of an investigation after becoming “frustrated” by passengers who pressed the assistance button above their seats.

It is understood that a pilot was among BA staff concerned about Leah’s alleged “poor performance”.

The stewardess also faces trouble for posting suggestive videos of herself in her BA uniform online.

One of them is captioned: “So if you want to come to my hotel, just yell at me.”

A BA member said: “The comments from passengers about Leah’s behaviour on the flight were alarming. And her colleagues were not impressed by her behaviour.”

Airline officials suspended Leah after the flight to Spain and launched an investigation.

Ryan was given a 12-month suspended sentence after being found guilty last September of racially aggravated assault on Leah in July 2022.

He was also ordered to pay £2,500 compensation to the flight attendant.

Father-of-four Ryan had harassed her while he was drunk on the BA flight from Glasgow to London.

He had told her he wanted her “chocolate children.”

Leah told the court: “I felt like he was saying I was beautiful for a black person because of the way he described my colour.”

Asked about Leah’s suspension, BA said: “It would not be appropriate to comment as we continue to investigate the matter.”
