Atlanta bar caught selling alcohol without essential license, police say

Lacura Bar and Bistro in Atlanta

A self-proclaimed Atlanta “hot spot” was caught serving alcohol without the proper license during a sting operation.

Atlanta police received a report that Lacura Bar and Bistro did not have a city liquor license, which allows alcoholic beverages to be sold or consumed on Atlanta premises. At the time, they only had a state license.

There have been several posts over the past two months on Lacura’s Instagram page that show bottle girls serving alcohol, customers at the bar, and cases of alcohol sitting around the establishment.

The APD conducted a sting operation with an undercover agent that led to six arrests, including executives and individuals involved in the direct sales operation.
