Hebbalkar gifts a silk sari to a woman who has provided a feast to the village with Gruha Lakshmi’s money

Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar gifted a silk sari to an elderly woman from Belagavi district who had grabbed social media attention after serving her entire village with a vacation She was able to take advantage of the money she received through the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. Under this scheme, the government pays a fixed amount every month to women heads of households.

According to a communication from the minister’s office, Ms Hebbalkar called the woman, Akkathaayi Langoti of Suttatti village in Raibag taluk of Belagavi district, on phone and congratulated her for such a gesture. The staff of the minister’s office handed over the silk sari to the woman and also congratulated her.
