At home and awayJustin Morgan will be embroiled in a dramatic car crash storyline on Australian screens this week when he finds himself on the receiving end of serious charges.

Television Week reports that the drama begins when businesswoman Claudia, played by McLeod’s Daughters Star Rachael Carpani gets into a car accident and ends up stuck in hospital with her arm in a sling.

As Claudia tries to figure out who is responsible for the accident, she remembers that she recently had her car serviced, so she calls the mechanic Justin, accusing him of not doing his job properly.

Justin feels unable to accept responsibility for his mistake and soon realizes that it was Theo Poulos who fixed the young woman’s car. It turns out that Theo was supposed to take care of the car’s maintenance, but he didn’t finish the job.

In an attempt to limit the damage, Justin enlists the help of his wife Leah Patterson, and the couple decides to invite Claudia to the Surf Club to try to make amends with her.

But after meeting Claudia, Justin might soon decide he regrets getting involved in her situation…

Carpani hinted that Claudia’s arrival would “shake up the Bay Area,” adding that her character has a bit of a mean streak.

“When I heard what Claudia was doing, I thought, ‘Oh, it might be fun to be hated as a character for a while.’ I’m a little worried about the hardcore fans, though,” she said.

“I hope no one stops me and asks, ‘How could you do that?'”

The actress added that while she has “not been on a nicer, more welcoming set” than Summer Bay, she found the busy filming schedule “overwhelming”.

“I thought I had experience – I’ve been doing this (acting) for over 20 years,” she said. “But it really hit me in the butt. I thought, ‘Wow, I’m not as mentally prepared as I thought I was.’ It was devastating.”
