Student ‘flashing’ handgun on Avon school bus arrested after other kids sound alarm

An Avon East Middle School student arrested with a gun on a bus this morning has been “expelled” from the school and no threats were made against students.

School administrators intervened to confiscate the gun after students alerted them that another student had “flaunted” the weapon on the bus.

Avon Schools Communications Coordinator Kevin Carr said school administrators and Avon School Police intervened, confiscated a handgun and expelled the student.
