Fiorentina offer Wantaway to Lazio to solve full-back problems

Fiorentina left-back Fabiano Parisi has reportedly been offered to Lazio as they look to add another full-back to the squad.

The Italian capital club already acquired Nuno Tavares from Arsenal earlier this summer. However, the Portuguese suffered a muscle injury in pre-season and has struggled to regain his fitness since.

In addition, Luca Pellegrini injured his foot in a car accident last week, which has kept him out of action. The former Juventus player has failed to establish himself as a regular since joining the club in January 2023, so Marco Baroni has been forced to move Adam Marusic to the left flank to fill the void.

Parisi proposed as option to Lazio

According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Biancocelesti are looking to add a new left-back to their squad. The source claims that Parisi, who is expected to leave Fiorentina before the end of the summer, has been offered to Lazio.

The 23-year-old is a youth player from Benevento who made a name for himself during his time at Empoli. His exploits prompted a move to Fiorentina last summer, but he has been unable to secure a starting role at the club due to the presence of Cristiano Biraghi.

Lazio, however, face the same recruitment problem, as they will first have to reduce their squad to make room for new arrivals. Elseid Hysaj remains the main candidate for abandonment in the coming days. The Albanian is a former pupil of Maurizio Sarri, but Baroni does not want to rely on his services.
