Bradley Whitford is speaking out in light of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Cheryl Hines standing alongside her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as he endorses Donald Trump for president.

“Hey @CherylHines, what a way to stay silent while your lunatic husband supports the convicted rapist who brags about denying women their basic rights,” Whitford, 64, wrote in a message posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.

Trump, who has faced more than a dozen accusations of sexual misconduct, was found liable last year for sexual abuse and defamation of columnist E. Jean Carroll; however, the jury in the civil trial ruled that Carroll failed to prove he raped her in 1996.

Whitford continued: “Courageous. A great example for kids. A profile in courage.”

The Emmy-winning “The West Wing” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” actor’s comment was shared alongside a repost of a video posted by Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign in which former President Trump thanked the “six very brave and brilliant” Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Whitford’s conviction comes a day after Kennedy — the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy and son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy — announced he was dropping out of the race and supporting Trump’s campaign.

Shortly after Kennedy’s campaign announcement, Hines praised her staff on social media. Unlike her husband, she has not endorsed any candidate or political party.

“Over the past year and a half, I have met extraordinary people from all parties – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. In my experience, the vast majority of members of all parties are genuinely good people who want the best for our country and each other,” she wrote.

Kennedy responded to her post with his own message of gratitude: “I am so grateful to my wonderful wife Cheryl for her unconditional love as I made a political decision that she is very uncomfortable with. I wish the same for the country: love and unity even in the face of disagreement. We will need it in the times ahead.”

Whitford has been vocal in his support for Vice President Harris’ presidential campaign and often posts anti-Trump content.

Kennedy’s family also disavowed the former independent presidential candidate for supporting Trump.

His sister, Kerry Kennedy, said in a statement co-signed by four other family members: “Our brother Bobby’s decision to support Trump today is a betrayal of the values our father and our family hold dearest. It is a sad end to a sad story.”

“I understand that they’re upset by my decisions,” Kennedy told “Fox News Sunday.” “But you know, I think we all have to be able to disagree with each other and still love each other.”
