Jonathan Smith says Michigan State QB Aidan Chiles is ‘ready’ for the big stage

(WXMI) — Michigan State opens the season Friday night against Florida Atlantic at Spartan Stadium.

Aidan Chiles will start as the Spartans’ quarterback. The 18-year-old sophomore was also named an MSU team captain.

“I think he’s really ready for this. He’s a competitive player,” Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith said. “We’re confident that with his preparation, his instincts and his competitive spirit, he’ll give us a chance to score points.”
